Watch Your Back!! Evil Might Be Very Next to You...

Sunday, June 28, 2015 was a terribly awful day for us. We lost our Nexus 7 tablet. Someone stole it. Here's the detail.

At about 3 pm, we headed to Cibinong City Mall. It took approximately 20 minutes to get there.  Bad traffic turned everyone into a grouch. :)

Having got the parking space, we got out the car and found no stroller in the trunk. We left it at home. "Oh no, it means I have to carry 7.3 kg weight upon my shoulder." I only came up with the "take-turn" idea to bring him. It was a bit unsafe because my little one only wore short-sleeves jumper. We were afraid AC harmed his sensitive skin. If we brought the stroller, we usually put him in the stroller and cover him with blanket.

At 4 pm, we looked for baby shop to buy a jacket for him. While we're choosing the jacket, I put my bag and sling on the floor and got focused on him. Next to me, there were  a mom with her son picking up some clothes and a pregnant woman with polka dress. The woman squatted, choosing short pants. I didn't really paid attention on her. Suddenly I saw her pushing a bright blue book under the pants rack. I directly thought "It looks like my son's health record book." I picked it and yes, it was his book. It's weird. How came it got out. I glanced at her and she said "Maaf". I put the book back into my bag without checking thoroughly. I wasn't suspicious at all. I didn't know why.

Few minutes later, when we were busy fitting his jacket, I checked my bag and asked my husband "Where's my phone?" Did I left it in the car?". We're both unsure. My heart started to predict the worst thing. Maybe the pregnant woman took it. I looked around and she wasn't there already. Then, we decided to check it in the car. My son and I waited inside the mall and I started crying. He went downstairs and headed to parking lot.

He was back and said "There's no phone.". Oh Goodness, my knees trembled. I tried to playback all the moment inside the baby shop. I said to him "It's impossible that the book got out by itself, there must be something that's picked out, hooked it and fell to the floor. I kept talking and he caressed my shoulder. I blamed myself for not checking directly after the book was found outside, under the rack. Why I wasn't suspicious when she pushed the book, instead of picked it.

We went upstairs, back to the shop and met the SPGs and their manager. We wanted them to check the  CCTV. However, they said that it's memory had been full since a year ago. So, we couldn't check via CCTV. Soooo funny. Now, your CCTV was just a piece of crap.

With the left energy and bulging anger, I walked through the shop's ail, hoping that she was around. Though I knew it was useless. She might be somewhere so far from the shop, bringing my tab.

Well, it's not about money. Many people lost their iPhone. It's all about history. My husband bought the Nexus in Japan when he was in company training program. There are lots of moment (photos and videos) recorded by it.

It's Ramadhan, a holy month. But evils still walk here and there. So, watch out, people. They are very next to you.

Happiness Comes In Different Version. Seize Yours!!!

Happiness. What comes into your mind when I say that word?
Money? Fame? Beautiful wife? Rich husband? Great carrer? Hermes bag? Lamborghini?

Well, I’m pretty sure you have your own perspective of happiness. As for mine, I got the perspective after having long journey to Bogor. It took five hours by bus. During the trip, I observed people; staring secretly at their expression, reading their face, interpreting their look. The observation and experience told me that happiness is actually there, wherever you belong no matter how wealthy or poor you are. It exists only soon after you find it, you recognize it and you seize it.

I’m not Deepak Chopra, not even his dust. I’m just sharing how happiness turns up in every twist of life episode. Here’s what I got during my journey.

1. Rest Area
From the bus window, I saw a flock of Chinese ladies sitting back and relax in Starbuck Coffee. They chatted enthusiastically while sometimes sipping a cup of coffee. Even though I had no idea what topic they’re dwelling on, I was sure it was about something funny or amusing. They burst into laughing every minute. I saw happiness. :)

On another corner of rest area, I saw a group of drivers from different shuttle cars took a break, stretched their stiff legs. Some of them fanned themselves with a bundle of newspaper to cool down. Their other hand held a plastic cup of coffee. Everyone who saw would notice where the cup came from. Yes. The cup was second-hand plastic cup of mineral water. (I didn’t say Aqua, did I?). They often blew some air from their mouth to cool off the coffee. Every time they sipped it, and stopped afterwards, they looked like Bondan Winarno who’re about to say “Mak Nyuus”. They did enjoy it. I thought happiness was just simple. :)

2. Outside the bus, a green green grass , along the toll road
I threw my gaze into a vast field across the toll road. An old herdsman was there, sitting on the green grass under the leafy trees. His back was rested on the tree while his eyes kept watching a herds of cow far away from him . He left his worn out shirt unbuttoned to let the air come in. He felt the breeze touching every drop of his sweat running through all over his body. He looked so peaceful. Happiness portrays itself as fresh soothing breeze. :)

While in a Lexus car, beside our bus, sat a young man with beer belly. Next to him was a good looking fella. His right hand operated a gadget, while the other one reached a soda beer placed in a cool box. They owned the heavenly life.

      3. Karanggan, Citeureup Bogor (The End of Journey)
I bumped into an old man selling a whole bunch of rambutans. He got soaked due to the continuous rain but he kept standing in front of Indomaret to get all his rambutans sold out. He didn’t took a shelter across the road since there was also a vendor selling various fruit. Seeing how tough he was I bought a bunch of it and he smiled. :)

Across the road, there was a young man guarding the fruit vendor. He put headset on both ears, waited for the buyer, enjoyed the rhythm of melody; forget the boredom stitching along the night. They slightly moved his head back and forth. He tried killing the tediousness :)

To conclude, wherever you’re, you’ll always find your kind of happiness.  You’ll have your own version of happiness. A flock of Chinese ladies, a handful of drivers, an old herdsman, a beer belly guy in Lexus, a rambutan seller and a vendor guardian; they choose to sketch their own happiness. Because when you’re grateful, you’ll be happy. You feel like you’re the richest guy on earth. When you’re creating your own happiness, you’ll always find a mirror and see yourself as a lucky creature. Find your happiness. It’s already within you. :)

I am a Proud Chubbycheeker :)

This time, I wanna talk about something attached to our face, which are cheeks. Are you confident enough with your cheeks? Some people will say yes and the rest says otherwise. The answer might depend on how our cheeks look like. People with perfect cheekbone might enjoy every single angle of photo shoot, choose various hairstyles, wear many different hijab styles, put on any kind of eye wear, etc. Unfortunately, such kind of freedom can't be claimed by chubbycheekers (I name it totally, unequivocally, at my will) :-P. They (including the writer) tend to be picky when they should pose in front of camera, try new haircut, pick up hijab style etc. Speaking of posing in front of camera, chubbycheekers might trick the camera by taking angle into consideration, defy a few degree from the camera, avoid being taken from direct front side. For example:
The girl in the picture has chubby cheeks, so she takes her picture from a certain angle to make her face thinner. :)
A proud chubbycheeker
Look at her veil style too! It is advisable for chubbycheekers to wear hijab that covers inner cheekbone.
Okay now, how about haircut? Longer hair is the best choice to minimize the fatness of cheek. Multilayer hair will make your cheeks thinner. To add, bangs also play important role to make your face slimmer.

Now, wanna some tips for reducing chubby cheek? Try the following things
    1. regular workout
    2. healthy diet
    3. take a break
    4. sufficient sleep hour
    5. etc.

However, not all those tips and tricks above entirely apply to me. I'm a chubbycheeker but I have pixie haircut. And I'm doing so good with it. I'm also proud of my chubby cheek. I'm not afraid of taking my whole-side cheek picture. I just chill out and smile. Wanna some secrets?. All you have to do is getting along with what God has given to us. Be thankful, guys. And you'll love it. You are special. Well, I documented it. Look, who's heeeeeere?

Dilarang protes ya, Mbak, Mas, Bu, Pak

Next, wanna hear my say about this? In my own view, being a chubbycheeker is not a barrier for being pretty and confident. It has something to do with mind. If we think we're looking good and awesome, so does our aura. Believe me, people around you will feel the aura you sparkle. I always think people can't be physically classified into ugly and pretty. They are just unique. They are beautiful in their own way. Why? Because I'm so sure about the longevity of good deeds and the "untimely death" of good looks.

PS: The writer suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder and happens to be a proud chubbycheeker.
           I love you, fellas.
           Happy Friday
           Have a blast weekend

    Narcisism

Do you consider yourself narcissistic? If your answer yes, we're at the same shelter. Okay, let's dig deeper understanding about narcissistic itself. The word narcissistic is the adjective form of narcissism, which is a noun. Narcissism originates from "the Greek myth in which Narcissus, a beautiful young man, fell in love with his own reflection in a pool. He died and was changed into the flower which bears his name". (Oxford Advance Learner's Dictionary). Afterwards, narcissism is defined "too much interest in and admiration for your own physical appearance and/or your own abilities". (Cambridge Advance Learner's Dictionary). People who own this criteria are called narcissist. Our next question is is it okay or allowed or harmless to be a narcissist?

Psychologists view narcissism as one of mental disorder called Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). It is indicated from the following behaviors:
    1. admiring themselves too much
    2. act out/pose in front of mirror so often
    3. be sensitive to criticism
    4. drama queen
    5. too much acting
    6. antisocial
    7. boastful/too proud of everything
    8. consider themselves special
    9. etc
Such kind of behavior is caused by environment and gene. People who live their life with so much admiration around them tend to possess this *"disease". An acute narcissism needs further treatment such as psychotherapy. Okay.....that's enough for "light" reading. I'm not into this study field. :)

In my opinion, as a late teen not a woman yet haha :), a teacher, being narcissistic could be a solution and danger. People will always try to boost their self-esteem.To make it happen, they try to be confident for everything they have. In this case, narcissism help them look up, stand tall without feeling isolated or humiliated. They won't stoop so low because of having flaw here and there. In my case, educational field,  students who keep boastful about their intelligence or abilities perform so well in the classroom environment. They also can help their friend who belongs to slow learner criteria.

But, being overconfident due to narcissism is a danger. People won't be happy because no one likes to be around a braggart. So, be watchful, people. Please do measure your narcissism level. In what level do you belong. If the level is still be tolerable, you're okay with folks around you. Be confident, not overconfident!

    Happy Wednesday... :)

PS: This writing is inspired from Whatsapp conversation with my fellow teacher. :)

    Self-Check

I'm not sure how long I don't write anymore and visited my own blog. I keep blaming hectic schedule for that. It sounds irresponsible, isn't it? I have a bunch of reasons though as to why I "lay dormant" for such a long time. First of all, I am so keen on writing something like drama queen story. I'm easily inspired when something bad happens to me. For example, when I was in college, there were so much turn and twist in my love and life. I didn't like it at all but suddenly I could write something. Some people read my words. Aaaaand the biggest inspiration in my life during that "mellow age" was my ex-boyfriend. Time flies. Gradually, I forget him. Now, we remain best friend, but he doesn't give me a flash of brilliant inspiration. I still can't write.

Second one, I have ever suffered from "fed-up-with-blog-syndrome". I don't know whether the syndrome applies  to other or not. For such a long time, I don't want to write a single word.

Third one, I don't know what to write.

    Reminder

I'm still puzzled as to why people brag about something.
They try to sell their big names, titles, or even looks to attract someone.
Do they forget they have nothing in this world?
Those won't last forever, as to my knowledge.
Their big names only survive at least 63 years.
Their proud titles become nothing after Alm. appears in front of their names.
Youthful looks only stay for about 30 years or something.

We never have the reason to be so boastful about everything.
    Am I right?

    PS: Reminder for myself

    Energizer

    Me and Saffa
    Me, Nasywa and Shafa
    Me and Aleta
I always love kids. They are so adorable, cute and cuddly. I love their toothless grin. I am crazy over their crystal eyes. I really like their bakpao-like cheek. There are top 7 things kids do that I love the most.

    1.  They run toward me and give me a big hug.
    2.  They scream my name out loud.
    3.  They brag about their new stuff; bag, shoes,
    4.  They sit nicely on my lap and their hands cling to my shoulder.
    5.  They show me their about-to-loose tooth.
    6.  They ask me to button or unbutton their shirt.
    7.  They act out to be me, teaching their friends precisely similar with the way I teach them.

For me, kids are considered an energizer. They watering the withering zeal. They get my spirit back. Yeah.
